Lu Yimin, president of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. (Genertec), and Wang Xusheng, executive of Genertec, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the headquarters of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center (BPIC) undertaken by Genertec in Xiamen, southeast China's Fujian Province, on Jan. 2, 2024.

Lu delivered a speech titled "Working Together to Create New Opportunities for BRICS and Usher in a Brighter Future for Xiamen" at the ceremony.

As a key part of the BPIC proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, the headquarters of the BPIC is expected to play an important role in providing services and boosting connections for the economic and trade cooperation, sci-tech innovation, and industry incubation of the BRICS countries and the BRICS Plus countries, helping the BPIC make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the BRICS mechanism, Lu said.    

The BPIC headquarters, situated in Huli district of Xiamen, is being constructed under the supervision of Genertec BRICS (Xiamen) Investment & Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Genertec International Holding Co., Ltd. (Genertec International). The company acquired the land for the project last December and has taken charge of the construction of the project.
