Yu Xubo, Chinese member of the BRICS Business Council and Chairman of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. (Genertec), attended the annual meeting of the BRICS Business Council and the BRICS Business Forum held in Moscow, capital of Russia from Oct. 17 to 18.

On Oct. 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the BRICS Business Forum and delivered a keynote speech. Heads of state of BRICS countries including Egypt, South Africa, Iran, and Ethiopia made remarks via video link. Business representatives from BRICS countries also joined the Forum.

A day prior to the Forum, the annual meeting of the BRICS Business Council was held, joined by members of the BRICS Business Council, as well as representatives from the Council's industry groups. Chapters of the Council jointly reviewed and approved the Council's 2024 annual report, and provided recommendations on cooperation on artificial intelligence, infrastructure and logistics, finance and trade, agriculture, and energy.

During his trip, Yu met with Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui and had in-depth exchanges with business representatives from other BRICS countries.
