From July 4 to 5 local time, Genertec chairman Yu Xubo, who is also a member of the Chinese Chapter of the BRICS Business Council, attended a series of events including the 2025 Annual Meetings of the BRICS Business Council, the BRICS Business Forum, and a meeting of the Chinese Chapter of the Council in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil upon invitation. Gu Jin, Vice President of Genertec, accompanied Yu on the visit.

On July 4, during the 2025 Annual Meetings of the BRICS Business Council, Yu joined Council chairs and members from all participating countries in reviewing and approving the BRICS Business Council 2025 Annual Report. That same day, members of the Chinese Chapter convened the second plenary meeting of the Chinese Chapter for 2025.

On July 5, the BRICS Business Forum was held, attended by key political figures including Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, both of whom delivered speeches. During a roundtable on strengthening trade and food security cooperation, Yu delivered remarks emphasizing the need to eliminate trade barriers through regulatory coordination, promote trade facilitation through mutual recognition of standards, and advance the implementation of action plans for deepening industrial cooperation among BRICS Countries.
